AML/CFT Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

Beninfitaddict is committed to fighting money laundering and terrorist financing (AML/CFT), in accordance with Benin Law No. 2018-17 of July 25, 2018 on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing and WAEMU regulations.

1. Principles

  • No cash payments are accepted on the site: all payments go through PayDunya, a licensed payment provider, and through Mobile Money operators and card networks, which are themselves subject to AML/CFT obligations.
  • We identify our customers according to our KYC Policy.
  • Refunds are only made to the payment method or account used for the purchase, never to a third party.

2. Transaction monitoring

We pay attention to unusual transactions, in particular:

  • repeated or split orders with no apparent reason;
  • amounts unrelated to a customer’s usual activity;
  • use of multiple payment methods or methods belonging to third parties;
  • repeated cancellation and refund requests;
  • inconsistent or falsified identity information.

3. Measures in case of suspicion

In case of doubt, we may request supporting documents, suspend or refuse an order, block a refund and, where required by law, file a suspicious transaction report with Benin’s National Financial Intelligence Unit (CENTIF). As required by law, the customer concerned is not informed.

4. Sanctions and asset freezes

We refuse any transaction with a person or entity subject to sanctions or asset-freeze measures issued by national authorities, WAEMU or the United Nations.

5. Record keeping

Identification information and transaction records are kept for 10 years from the transaction, in accordance with applicable regulations.
